Psychotherapy Services

Sometimes the circumstances of our lives are so overwhelming or disruptive that that they require more resources than we have available to us at that point in time. As a result, we can become disoriented, lose touch with our own internal wisdom, and separate from our true selves.

My therapeutic approach is to hold space for you, to offer you the relational resources necessary for you to safety turn inward, and to witness and support you as you reacquaint yourself with and reclaim the wiser, and wilder aspects of your Self that, perhaps, you’ve moved away from as a result of your response to life’s challenges. I work from a trauma informed perspective utilizing the wisdom of depth, somatic and IFS (parts work) modalities. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms.

Below is more information about KAP to help you navigate if it may be a good fit for you.

FAQs

  • Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment and last for up to 2 weeks. It works by helping the brain form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.

  • The effects of ketamine, which most patients find pleasant, last for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. These effects can make you feel “far from” your body, and facilitate shifts in perception that can often feel expansive in nature. Studies have shown that the benefits to mood and neurological growth can last up to two weeks after the Ketamine experience, and multiple sessions have proven to have a cumulative effect, successfully alleviating symptoms in individuals with treatment-resistant depression.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is an affordable, accessible modality. Although the medical intake and follow ups are not covered by insurance, they may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.
